In 2015, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimates that there is “an annual average of about 109,000 adolescents” in Pennsylvania that experience a major depressive episode. That number has unfortunately increased since then.
A year after this data was released, “the National Alliance on Mental Illness selected NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania to become the official state NAMI organization in Pennsylvania.” And so, NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania was founded with the mission to raise awareness about mental health and provide “recovery-focused support, education, and advocacy for people living with mental illness and their loved ones.” They even focus on working “closely with a number of family advocacy organizations and serve on numerous committees and work groups aimed at guiding youth and families through the system.”
Our team at Maluchnik Insurance wants to aid NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania in continuing its mental health advocacy efforts for our youth through education, partnerships, and initiatives. We’re going to do this by committing to donating $20 to NAMI for every recommendation you make to us that receives a no-obligation quote! So, how many names can you give?
